Ms. Fong was formerly trained at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Ballet Professional, Ng Sheung Ha School of Ballet and Gloria Law School of Ballet. With the enthusiasm on dancing arts, she aspired to art achievements continuously over the years. Apart from getting Teaching Certificate at Royal Academy of Dance, High Diploma in Jazz at Australian Teachers of Dancing, she also got Diploma in Western Dance, Jazz, Ballroom Dance, Yoga and piano, and was player at the Hong Kong Gymnastics Team. In dancing competitions, Mabel got Champion in Singapore International Ballroom Dance Competition 2007, Champion in Hong Kong Open Professional Ballroom Dance Championship 2008, and Professional Ballroom Dance Asia Champion in 18th Hong Kong International Sports Dance Championship in 2011.
On the art of road, Mabel strongly believed in "Achievements are reached by hard work rather than recreation, while actions are done after thorough consideration rather than casual decision". With such philosophy, she overcame many challenges over the years. In 1984, Mabel decided to train more rising stars for the field, and she started her teaching life in Ballet and piano that has been lasting for over 20 years. Being the Principal of Mabel Fong School of Ballet and Music, she paid great efforts on promoting various sport activities and dancing courses. She taught students personally since she hoped to share her experience with more people. Over the years, many of her students had become professional tutors and contributed to the dancing field in Hong Kong.
Beyond her teaching career, Mabel was actively participating in social charitable activities. She not only participated in the Children Education Fund to visit and help the poor children in Mainland China, but also worked closely with Yan Oi Tong on voluntary choreography for International Students Charity Balls of the organization over 10 years, which was widely praised. In 2005, as the committee member of the District Committee (Tuen Mun District), Friends of The Community Chest, she led her students to support Walks for Millions of the organization and raised funds for the people in need.
Qualified as International Adjudicator (Ballroom Dance, Latin) by World Dance Council (WDC)
Qualified as Ballroom Fellows and Latin Fellows by International Dance Teachers' Association (I.D.T.A)
